Reception and Year 1 Bed Time Story Evening

Reception and Year 1 children enjoyed a lovely bed time story treat this evening. They listened to Wee Willie Winkie share some fun stories with them whilst drinking some hot chocolate and eating some delicious cookies!

Cinema Event

Children in Years 2-6 enjoyed watching the new film Puss in Boots after school tonight in the hall organised by the PTFA and Community Cinemas - they even got: a drink, some popcorn and a hot dog too!

Year 1-2 Quiz-Quiz-Trade in Numeracy

Year 1-2 have been enjoying playing quiz-quiz-trade in numeracy today - they tested each other on adding and taking away 10 from different numbers.

Year 5 Rivers Presentations

Year 5 have created PowerPoint presentations about the River Severn in ICT. They learnt how to: apply different slide layouts, type text using bullet points, insert pictures, add simple animation effects and put slide transitions on.

Year 4 ICT - Quiz-Quiz-Trade Internet Research

Year 4 enjoyed playing a game of 'quiz-quiz-trade' this afternoon in ICT to develop their Internet research skills and to improve their understanding of the Tudor period of history.

Swimming Gala Success!

Well done to all the children who competed in the swimming gala this evening at Middleton Arena. With 61 points, we came in 2nd place (out of five schools) and will now being going through to the finals against schools from other areas of Rochdale!

Year 3 and 5 Road Safety Work

Years 3 and 5 had lessons on road safety today by the Rochdale Road Safety team. They learnt about: the green cross code, different pedestrian crossings, the importance of wearing high-visibility clothing and the dangers associated with breaking the speed limit.

Year 3 enjoyed using Mr Haughton's History Encyclopedia website this afternoon in ICT to research about in groups about different aspects of Anglo-Saxon history and then create mind maps of their findings.
