Well done to our Year 4 water polo team who finished in second place at this afternoon's tournament at Middleton Arena - in the end it was so close that the final result had to be decided on which team scored first!
The whole school enjoyed watching an assembly all about the martial art of Judo this morning. They were taught how it is a much less aggressive sport than Jujutsu and some children even had the chance to try out some moves on the instructors!
The children enjoyed an assembly this morning promoting a new multi-sports, Olympics-themed after-school club that will be starting next week on Wednesday. One child even modelled all the prizes that those who attend could win!
A letter will be sent out later on this week with more information and pricing in.
Children in Years 2-6 enjoyed watching the new film Puss in Boots after school tonight in the hall organised by the PTFA and Community Cinemas - they even got: a drink, some popcorn and a hot dog too!
Well done to all the children who competed in the swimming gala this evening at Middleton Arena. With 61 points, we came in 2nd place (out of five schools) and will now being going through to the finals against schools from other areas of Rochdale!
Rochdale FC visited school this morning to hand out prizes to all those children who raised money after taking part in a sponsored penalty shoot out earlier this term. We raised £302 - half of this will go to the school and the other half will go to the Football in the Community Trust.
