Year 4 Water Polo Competition

Well done to our Year 4 water polo team who finished in second place at this afternoon's tournament at Middleton Arena - in the end it was so close that the final result  had to be decided on which team scored first!

Judo Assembly

The whole school enjoyed watching an assembly all about the martial art of Judo this morning. They were taught how it is a much less aggressive sport than Jujutsu and some children even had the chance to try out some moves on the instructors!

Year 1/2 Easter Extravaganza Trip

Some of our Year 1/2 children enjoyed visiting St Anne's Academy yeseterday after school to lots of Easter-themed creative activities!

Art Club Clocks

Netball Team Win

Congratulations to our Year 6 netball team who won the St Anne's Academy tournament last night!

Isobel was named player of the tournament.

Well done to our Year 5 girls who also played well in their first netball team experience.

Rugby Tournament

Well done to the rugby team. In today's tournament we won 2 out of our 4 games. We were excellent!

Year 6 Football Team at Spotland Stadium

Netball Team Wins

Well done to our netball team who won both their matches last night!

17-2 against Elmwood

2-1 against St Michael's

Darcey and Isobel were named players of the match.

Team Theme Assembly

The children enjoyed an assembly this morning promoting a new multi-sports, Olympics-themed after-school club that will be starting next week on Wednesday. One child even modelled all the prizes that those who attend could win!

A letter will be sent out later on this week with more information and pricing in.

Cinema Event

Children in Years 2-6 enjoyed watching the new film Puss in Boots after school tonight in the hall organised by the PTFA and Community Cinemas - they even got: a drink, some popcorn and a hot dog too!

Swimming Gala Success!

Well done to all the children who competed in the swimming gala this evening at Middleton Arena. With 61 points, we came in 2nd place (out of five schools) and will now being going through to the finals against schools from other areas of Rochdale!

Transition Choir Christmas Singing Showcase

Well done to all the Year 4 and 5 girls who took part in the 'Transition Choir' this evening at St Anne's Academy's Christmas showcase evening!

Basketball Team Win

Well done to our basketball team who won their tournament at St. Anne's last night.

The points awarded will now go towards the St Anne's Cup at the end of the year.

Football Team Win

Well done to our boys football team who won their match against Bowlee Primary School tonight with a score of 4-1!

Netball Wins

Well done to our netball team who won both their matches after school this evening - 13-1 against St Mary's and 7-0 against Alkrington.

Cross Country Race at Elm Wood

Well done to all the children who took part in the local cross-country race at Elm Wood Primary this evening and who ran as fast as they could!

Rochdale FC Sponsorship Prizes

Rochdale FC visited school this morning to hand out prizes to all those children who raised money after taking part in a sponsored penalty shoot out earlier this term. We raised £302 - half of this will go to the school and the other half will go to the Football in the Community Trust.

Netball Team Results

Well done to our netball team who won their match against Middleton Parish 8-1 and drew their match against St Thomas More this evening.

Special mention to Lauren in Year 6 for being named player of the match too!
